CYEB Budakalász Handball Team

CYEB Budakalász was founded in 2002 under the name of Szentendre Kézilabda Club by local sport fans. Being the only one men’s handball team in the Dunakanyar (River Danube Bend) region, the team showed a significant increase in the number of players and supporters. For 2015, more than 140 amateur players played in 8 teams, from U12 to the adult team, being one of the leading teams of the second division of Hungary. In 2014, the Team moved from Szentendre to a larger sports hall, to Budakalász, and new sponsors came (Swietelsky, CYEB).

In the season of 2015/16 the Team finished on the 1st place , hence the possibility to enter the first division  was offered.

The player base of the Team includes Hungarian national team players, some internationally well known players as the Spanish champion and Barcelona player, Roberto Garcia Parondo, the Slovakian national team player (Martin Mazak), local former and current national team players (Máté Józsa, Norbert Sutka) and young stars like Bence Nagy and András Koncz.

This year the team has the opportunity to compete with the best teams of the world like Telekom Veszprem, the 3 times participants of European Federations Final Four and MOL Pick Szeged.
